To use a variety of software and Web2 tools in the presentation of their information making it interesting to partners. To explain and share how they spend their time at home and in school. To share information about their home life, interests, food, music and entertainment. To tell each other about their goals, future plans, and work/jobs they are interested in. To feedback to partners what they have noticed when sharing information and give positive comments about what they have learned. To compare and contrast their way of life with partners.
Work Process January / February 2016 – introduce themselves to partners. Participants will be asked to make this simple and direct using Web2 tools or familiar software. Exchange information about their interests – subjects studied, family life, hobbies, sports, food, entertainment. Web chat or audio-conferencing. Forum to ask and answer questions. Teachers will summarise student input. March / April 2016 – present `A Day in My Life` in an interesting format. Students can choose the way of recording and presenting this to their partners including Web2 tools, video, presentations, storyboards. Forum to ask and answer questions. May / June 2016 – exchange thoughts and ideas about their lives in the future to study or work. Contribute to online shared files such as Padlet, Google docs, and add threads to the Forum in Twinspace.
Expected results Pupils will have a better understanding about what it is to be a teenager by comparing and contrasting their own life with that of partners in other countries. Some will learn phrases for everyday use in another language. A presentation of similarities and differences will be displayed visually for the publication of results.
